An incomplete Roman copper alloy knee brooch. The head plate is rectangular in plan, semi-cylindrical, and contains a copper alloy spring. The wing terminals are covered. A suspension loop extends from the top. An arched, tapering bow extends from the base of the headplate. The bow is decorated with two vertical rows of four recessed cells.
A parallel is noted in Mackreth 2011, Vol 1, p189, no. 14241; Vol 2, plate 130, no. 14241.
