Medieval copper alloy buckle fragment, 23mm long, 15mm wide and 5mm thick with a weight of 3.10g.
The buckle is triangular in form and rectangular in cross section. It forms just over half a buckle and has a D shpaed loop which extends slightly past the central pin bar. The loop terminates in a triangular shaped projection, which may represents a worn animal head? The buckle is curved in profile, proibably to accomodate a strap.
