A complete, cast, copper-alloy buckle frame of Medieval to post Medieval date (c1200-c1600). The buckle is a single loop and D shaped, with the rear bar slightly reduced in length. The frame is a narrow oval in cross section, deeper than it is wide. The sides of the bar taper in depth from front to rear, with the rear bar being 3.7mm thick and the outer edge 4.5mm thick.

The frame is 19mm long by 31mm wide.
