A complete lead-alloy spindle whorl from the Medieval period (AD1300-1500).
The whorl is made up of a central bi-conical body that is decorated on both faces with a series of raised triangles and pellets. One surface has a slit mark either side of the perforation. The perforation has an internal diameter of 9.26mm and has a slightly raised collar. The surface of the whorl is worn with a powdery white patina.
