An unidentified lead object of probable Post Medieval date. It is a rod of lead which is an uneven pentagon in cross-section, each face being fluted to a greater or lesser degree. One end appears to be a rough break, but the other end is a solid terminal. The fluting on the five sides is uneven and some sides are plain. Between some of the raised longitudinal line are panels of possible ornament or pitting. This has the appearence of lettering in relief, but none is legible. The object has a dark grey matt patina. It is 17mm long, 11mm diameter and 14g.
