A copper alloy Medieval to Post Medieval buckle, dating from about AD 1350 - 1650. It is a double looped buckle with stright sides. The outer edges are slightly expanded and angled. The loop of the copper alloy pin remains in situ. It is 22mm long, 17mm wide and 5mm thick. 2g. Compare examples on page 53 of Whitehead.
