A copper alloy unidentified object of uncertain date. It is a crescent shaped plate of ovoid cross-section, but is rough and possibly unfinished or fire damaged. Projecting from the middle of the concave edge is a stem which is sub-D-shaped in cross-section. It is unclear whether the end is broken or not. The object is 40mm long, 30mm wide and 10mm thick. 26g. It has a pitted grey green patina.

The shape is suggestive of Roman crescentic linch pin terminals, but also Post Medieval tap handles. It could also be a foot from a vessel. The damage to this object makes it difficult to date and identify.
