A copper alloy double looped buckle dating to c.1550-11650. The pin is missing. The frame has unusual irregular, slightly scalloped inside edges as the ouside edges, the loops are broadly pentagonal. The bar is narrowed and has small lobed knops at either end. There is a pointed expansion to each outdise edge and a moulded decoration to the frame, but this is now worn. The reverse is flat and undecorated. There are traces of black coating on the upper surface.
