A fragment of a copper-alloy unidentified object of uncertain date. It consists of a sub-rectangular main body, from which two oval cro-sectioned arms protrude. The main body has one face marked by a crude stamped cross, while the back face is flat and plain. The longer arm diverges laterally and bears a knob on its inner edge. Both the arms seem broken at the outer end.

It might be a metalworking waste from casting process. Possibly a late medieval buckle dating to AD 1400-1450, cf. Egan-Pritchard (2002, p. 103, no. 471).
