A complete, worn and corroded post-Medieval copper-alloy circular double-sided guinea coin weight, probably of Anne (1702-1714).

Obverse: [ ]; Bust left.

Reverse: Crown with sceptres in saltire behind; Value: [1]/GVINEA/[W] (in three lines, one above the other).

Diameter: 19.6mm; thickness: 2.5mm. Weight: 6.41g. (98.8 grains).

This is a guinea coin weight, probably of Anne, for a guinea denomination although the weight falls below the 129.5 grains for the full weight of a guinea (Withers and Withers, 1995: 29, 68).
