An incomplete copper-alloy Roman nail dating to c. AD 43-410. Globular head and slightly tapering square section shaft. Head is 6.58mm in diameter. The shaft, which has an irregular break towards its tip, has a surviving length of 12.66mm and a thickness of 3mm.

Similar to those in Crummy, Colchester Archaeological Report 2: The Roman small finds from excavations in Colchester 1971-9, page 115.
