An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame (c. 1620-c. 1680).
One loop and the pin are missing.
The surviving trapezoidal loop is flat at the front and rear. At the front it is bevelled internally and externally.
The outside edge is pointed and there is a lobe at each corner. A notch as a pin rest is present on the upper face of the outside edge. The narrowed bar is sub-square in cross-section and at each end of the bar there is a small lobed knop
The frame is drab green with traces of a dark green patina.

A similar buckle has been published and dated c. 1620-1680 AD (Whitehead 2003: 84, ref: 524).
