A fragment of cast hand bell of probable 17th-19th century date.
Description: The fragment is roughly triangular in plan and represents a lower section of the body, part of the belt and the lip. The outer face is convex and the internal is concave. Full diameter was roughly 50mm. The belt of the bell, dividing the body from the lip is slightly cast in relief with some finishing. The bell fragment is a dark grey-green colour.
Measurements: 63.91mm wide, 44.91 high, 4.15mm thick and 47.28g in weight
