A lead musket ball, probably case- or hail-shot, dating from the post-Medieval period, about AD 1600 - 1800. It is 17.7mm in diameter and weighs 34.55gm. The ball is covered with flat facets caused by compaction against other shot in the load. There are traces of a creamy patina. See Harding (2012) plate 23.
