A complete gold quarter noble of the Medieval period from the reign of Henry VI , AD1422-1461.

Obverse description: A shield quartered with the arms of England and France within a tressure of eight arches.

Obverse inscription: hENRIC (lis) DI (trefoil) GRA (trefoil) REX (trefoil) ANGL.

Reverse description: A floriated cross with a lion passant within each quarter, all within a tressure of eight arches.

Reverse inscription: EXALTABITVR (mullet) IN (annulet) GLORIA.

The coin is in a good condition with a little wear on both faces. It is possible that it has been lightly clipped between 1 and 4 o'clock.
