An incomplete copper alloy sub-circular single-loop buckle dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1200-1400). The buckle is D-shaped in plan and circular in cross-section. The buckle has a narrow off-set bar to which the strap or plate would once have been attached. The pin is no longer present. The object is undecorated and has a mid-green patina.
Similar examples can be seen in Egan and Pritchard (2002: 66) nos 260 and 262.
The overall dimensions are as follows: 34.92mm in legnth, 26.98mm in width, 8.24mm in thickness and 20.39g in weight.
