Post medieval copper alloy boss, Width: 11 mm, thickness: 1 mm, diameter: 50 mm, weight: 10.81 g.
The object is circular in form and semi-circular in cross section. It has a flat outer border c.15mm wide which is now damaged and bent. It has a double incised line as an outer border, 1mm in from the edge and in its centre is a hollow dome 10mm high. The object is decorated with three flower like circular attachments. Each one has a central semi-shperical projection surrounded by six more in a circle set in a scalloped border. These are positioned by rivets, in the centre of the dome and one to each side, between the dome and the incised border.
The object is similar to SUR-807771 SUR-70C4F4 HAMP-D1A237 and is probably a harness mount, dating to the early post medieval period.
