A Roman ceramic greyware rim sherd, from a bowl with a dropped flange, probably dating to c. AD 200-400. A reduced sandy tempered fabric, with frequent fine, sub-rounded quartz inclusions, larger platelets ofd limestone and very occasional iron stone.
Dimensions: It is 33.14mm in length, 22.16mm in height and weighs 8.11g. The rim is 14.93mm in width.
The sherd can be compared to BB1 vessels of Seager-msitanh d Davies' form 25, introduced in the third century.
