An incomplete cast copper alloy mount or fitting, possibly from a strap/harness or even a casket and dating from c. 1400-1600 AD. With a triangular profile, one end terminates to a rounded, tapering point with a fixing hole. The other end opens out into a half moon crescent, also with the remnant of a fixing hole. The surface has a dull green/brown patina with remnants of gilding.
