A complete and corroded Medieval copper-alloy lozenge-shaped seal matrix (c. 1200-c. 1400).
The inscription and motif are corroded. From the impression, it is possible that the die depicts a standing bird with taloned feet. The bird is facing right with its head turned looking back over its back. On the reverse a central vertical rib terminates with an attachment loop at the top. The hole of the loop is filled with copper-alloy corrosion products.
Length: 29.8mm; width: 18.7mm; thickness: 4.0mm; thickness including loop: 8.0mm. Weight: 7.16g.
