Post-medieval period copper alloy mount with reddish tint. The mount is flat, trefoiled shaped and probably dates from c. 1600-1800. The mount is in the form of a possible cherub at the centre and top of an openwork knotted or foliate surround with six piercings. The object has two integrally cast attachment pins on the back. There are numerous similar mounts on this database including SUSS-E09817. It is possible that the mount had a third attachment pin which has snapped off.
