An incomplete lead-alloy mount of medieval to Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1200 - 1600. The object is circular with a raised dome center. The front surface is decorated with a rosette of six pellets surrounding a single central pellet set within a rope work border. The reverse is concave and undecorated. The edges of the object are broken and worn.
The metal has a dark green/brown patina and is worn. The object is 21.6mm in diameter, 3.9mm thick and weighs 3.1g.
Due to the damage and wear on this object no signs of any means of attachment remain. It may have served a number of functions including a dress hook (see: GLO-27C376) or pin head (see: PUBLIC-4DBCE1).
