Copper alloy nail. Cast square section shank with a flat round top, and with a pointed, possibly broken, tip. Copper alloy nails were favoured for use in settings like mills and threshing barns, where dust presented the risk of explosion were a spark to be struck. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1800-1900.
