Incomplete and abraded medieval gilt copper alloy buckle with an integral, flat, rectangular plate in which there is a pin hole and two rivet holes, one blocked with corroded iron. Most of the probably oval frame is missing. A rounded lateral projection marks the junction of plate and frame. Very faint traces of longitudinal engraved lines are visible near the sides of the former. Width of plate 19mm. 13th - 14th century.
