A copper alloy punch, awl, or scribing tool. The object has a square cross section and one faceted tip and one narrow pointed tip. The tool is 70.4mm in length and sharply bent to 90 degrees at the narrower end which may have been set into a handle. The tool narrows from 4.6mm at its widest point to 1.1 at the bent tip; the faceted end is 2.8mm wide.

Notes:

Despite similar tools being known back into the late Bronze Age, the edges on this example are crisply defined with sharp corners and regular facets, which perhaps suggests a Roman date.
