Roman copper alloy Colchester type bow brooch, 42mm long, 16mm wide and 4mm thick with a weight of 5.57g.
The object is worn and incomplete and consists of sub rectangular shaped, curved open wings, now missing the sping and pin. It has a semi-circular cross sectioned bow which is decorated with a simple ridge, with transverse incised lines, running its length. The bow is missing its base and is damaged where it begins to widen out to form a now missing openwork catchplate (the two portions can just be seen).
