An incomplete unusual copper-alloy double looped buckle frame. No clear parallels have been found for this buckle but double looped buckles are known to be decorated with a ring and dot pattern in the Post-Medieval broadly dating 1500 to 1700AD. The frame slightly curves which is suggestive of a shoe buckle and it is missing the pin. There are two holes at either side of the strap bar and these may have houses insets such as glass or semi-precious stones. Along the top and bottom of the plates front face is decoration in the form of a series of ring and dot motifs. The back face is undecorated. The length is 43mm, the width and the weight 5.02g.
