An incomplete copper alloy Buckle of Medieval date (AD 1350-1400). The object has a single loop sub-rectangular frame with expanded outer edges and sheet roller and a narrowed and offset strap bar with a retained unrecessed strap bar composed of a single plate. The lower end of the plate has a circular perforation and retained rivet. The metal is a dark brownish-green in colour with a slightly pitted patina. The length is 23mm, the width is 12mm and the weight 1.22g. Whitehead (1996) gives this type a date of c.1350 - 1400 AD (Whitehead (2003), P 27, no 140).
