An incomplete copper-alloy harness pendant frame of medieval date, c. AD 1150 - 1450.
The frame is openwork with an integral expanded loop for attachment projecting from one edge. A separated sub-ovate element is retained within the arms forming the shaft of the attachment loop, by which a smaller pendant would have been suspended to hang within the frame.
Only a small portion of the frame survives, extending to either side of the loop and terminating in worn breaks. Short worn projections extend from the frame to what would have been the interior side.
The metal has a dark brown/green patina and is worn. The object is 26.1mm long, 37.6mm wide, 6.9mm thick and weighs 6.9g.
