A probably copper alloy strap swivel of medieval date. The object has an oval frame with a rounded knop extending from the top. The knop is decorated with facets. The base of the frame is a large flat oval plate. A casting seam is visible around the interior and exterior of the object, and it appears as if this is a miscast or unfinished item on which the central hole for a counterpart swivel has not been drilled.
