An incomplete copper-alloy Early Medieval to Medieval buckle, dating AD 900-1100. The frame has a sub-pentagonal shape in plan and its inner edge outlines a D-shaped loop. The outer edge of the frame is bevelled. The central part of the outside edge has a trefoiled lobe while there is a knop on the upper and lower edge. The front face is decorated with a sequence of ring-and-dot motifs, which outlines the D-shaped loop. The back face is flat and undecorated. The surviving pin-bar is narrowed and oval cross-sectioned.
