An incomplete copper-alloy finger ring of the Post Medieval period (AD1750-1900).
The ring is a plain band, D shaped in section with a flat inside edge. There is no evidence of any decoration or markings on either surface save for two small circular punch marks on the inner band. Corrosion may have masked further evidence of any decoration.
The ring has been cast as there is no seam to show. It has been made from either sheet metal or a thin rod. There is evidence of some silvering or gilding on the outer surface. It has been very slightly bent on one side.
