Broken Post Medieval copper alloy mount with integral attachment spikes, about 50% of which survives. The front of the mount is bar shaped with a convex front and slightly concave back. an oval lobe at one end and double collar across a constiction before the broken end. It is likely there was a second oval love, now lost. One integral rivet remains. It is rectangular in cross section, tapering towards a blunt end and projects 13.4mm down from the back of the complete end before bending 90 degrees in towards the centre. The mount now measures 14.6mm long, 8.1mm wide, 15.5mm thick including the attachments 2.8mm thick excluding and weighs 1.78 grams.

Read (2001: 36) has a similar example, no.314 which he dates to the 17th century AD.
