A fragment of ceramic curved tile, possibly a roof tile of uncertain date, Roman to Modern, AD 43 - 1900. It is bright orange and curved in cross-section. It has a hard fabric with a rough surfce, especially on the inner face which could be sanded. There are sparse, poorly sorted inclusions, mainly of grog and grit. It is not obviously made of extruded clay, but a Post Medieval or Modern date cannot be ruled out. It is 60.4mm long, 38.7mm wide and 11.8mm thick. 33.3g.
