An incomplete toggle or button and loop fastener dating to the Late Iron Age to early Roman period (c. 100 BC - AD100). The head of the toggle is sub-rectangular in plan and D-shaped in cross section. It is made up of three sub-spherical projections in a line, which are waisted on either side of the middle projection. The reverse of the toggle is flat. From the centre of the reverse emerges the loop fastener, projecting down and out at a right-angle. The arm widens to form the beginnings of the loop but it has since broken away in antiquity. The object has a light green patina.
