An Early Medieval silver penny of Edward the Confessor (AD 1042-1066). Bust facing/small cross type (BMC xiii, North 830) dating to AD 1062-65. Minted at Tamworth by Brininc. Ref: North 1991: 181.

Overall dimensions: 15.62mm in diameter and 1.09g in weight.


This is only the second coin from the Tamworth mint to be recorded by the PAS. The other can be found at WMID-BDDE26.
