A wheel thrown wall sherd from a Medieval ceramic vessel dating from about AD 1200 - 1500. Hard, irregular textured grey fabric with frequent, small, well sorted inclusions which are angular and grey grit which break the surface. Unglazed, with a dark purple/grey coating on the outer face. The sherd is 42.3mm long, 40.7mm wide and 7.9mm thick. 20.6g.
