A Roman, cast copper-alloy furniture fitting.
Description: The object has a rounded top, with a circular cross-section, and has a spherical knop with central dimple on its apex. From the rounded top the object tapers in and out again to form a 'waist', with a step between the top and the 'waist'. There is a further step between the 'waist' and the foot of the fitting which is a flat, circular base. There is a circular protrusion for attachment on the underside of the base.
Measurements: Length 27.73mm: Maximum diameter 19mm: Weight 26.13g.
