A tertiary flint blade, of Early Mesolithic or Early Neolithic date (9000-6500BC/4000-3300BC) which has completely recorticated and is now white in colour with the exception for a small recent chip which shows the dark grey to black flint below. Bulb and point of percussion visible as are conchoidal ripple marks.

The dorsal face shows removal of parallel blades. Possible short parallel to sub-parallel abrupt to semi-abrupt retouch on the proximal dorsal and proximal dorsal mesal edge.

Halfway along the dorsal face a transverse stepped or hinge fracture, most visible on the outer two parallel blade removal scars, may be the result of the presence of inclusions in the stone.
