A complete lead-alloy token of Medieval to Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1300-1700. The token is uni-faced and circular in plan and rectangular in section. The upper face is decorated with a simple, raised cross within a raised border. This decoration fits into Powell's type 14 (crosses). The border is worn away along part of the edge. The reverse is flat and undecorated.
The metal is grey-ish cream in colour and worn. The token is 19.8mm in diameter, 4.4mm thick and weighs 8.2g.
Lead tokens had a wide variety of potential uses including use as tallies, gaming pieces, tickets and weights, and are difficult to date precisely.
Similar tokens have been recorded on the database as YORYM-FCB1D7, WMID-F59AA1, and SUSS-68C881.
