An incomplete and possibly clipped Medieval silver penny of Edward I (1272-1307), minted at Durham. Class 4a1-4a2, 1282-1283 (North 1991: 29, ref: 1023).

Obverse: EDWR ANGL DNS hYB; Crowned bust facing with a trifoliate crown and wedged drapery.

Reverse: CIVI/TAS/DVR/EME; Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant.

Diameter: 18.4mm. Weight: 1.04g. DA=12:1.
