A complete lead spindle whorl dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1100-1500). The object is circular in plan and roughly D-shaped in cross section. One face has been decorated with a series of eight raised pellets arranged around the central perforation. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The object has a greyish-white patina.
Similar objects recorded on the PAS database include: LEIC-2A2AAB and DENO-768D34.
The overall dimensions are as follows: 28.98mm in diameter, 9.95mm in thickness and 31.88g in weight.
