Silver coin. Sceat; the finder kindly identifies this as Metcalfe vol. 2 page 256, 'Star Herstal' type. Abramson 2006 (page 93) suggests an origin around Namur [now France], 'Hexagon', He20, issue of 720-745.

Reverse description: Plain cross, rayed, with a smaller cross springing from the foot of the central cross, taking its place between rays.
