A copper-alloy Medieval sexfoils strap mount, datingo to AD 1270-1450. Its is has been formed from a sheet metal, which has been cut and pressed into a circular faceted domed sexfoil shape. There are two copper-alloy rivets through the sides. The edges are slightly damaged and have two cracks running towards the centre of the mount.
As egan-Pritchard (1991, p. 189, fig. 119, no. 959). See similar example on the PAS database: SF-817784.
