An incomplete copper-alloy Roman Colchester derivative brooch. Dating AD43-100. Only the base of the bow, catchplate and foot survive.

The bow is oval in section with a raised rib on the front. The bow terminates in a knop which is incised by two horizontal lines. There is no decoration evident on the face of the bow.

The catchplate is triangular with two curvilinear openings. There is a curved rectangular pin groove on the rear of the catchplate.

The fragment measures 29.1mm long, 12.5mm wide and 2.3mm thick. It weighs 1.6g and has a light green patina.
