A complete chert Scraper of Mesolithic date (9,000-3,450 BC). The object is Sub-triangular in plan and bi-convex in section. The dorsal surface contains four predominant negative scars and corresponding arrises. The proximal end has been blunted creating a semi-circular notch. The distal end tapers to a point, with a narrowed left hand distal edge forming a shallow notched aperture. All edges with the exception of the proximal edge have rough semi-abrupt retouch. The ventral surface has four negative scars with corresponding arrises.
The chert is dark brown in colour with dark grey bands running through the lithic.
