A copper alloy post medieval seal matrix. The object is 23.5mm in length, with a slightly bent trilobe handle pierced by a row of three small holes. The upper loop of the handle comprises a suspension loop which has broken. The die face measures 13.9mm by 12.7mm and is engraved with a monogram of the letters I P divided by a foliate or palm frond decoration. Fronds spread under and over each letter. Circa 17th century.
