Late medieval copper alloy strap end, 24.9mm in length and 22.7mm in width, with an engraved face plate. The object is hollow and made of folded copper alloy sheet metal, with seams along each long edge at the reverse. There are two copper alloy fixing studs running through the hollow centre of the object between the face and rear plates.

The engraved decoration comprises an elaborate single letter, possibly a lower case b or g, depending on the intended orientation, on a field of diagonal cross-hatching, within a simple linear border.
