An incomplete cast copper-alloy mount of Post-Medieval date, 1500-1700. It is missing most of the integral pin or rivet due to old breaks. The plate is circular in form, slightly dished and with moulded openwork decoration. This comprises a beaded border with 21 beads within which is an openwork design with six identical cells and a central circular panel. On the back face of the cental panel is an integrally cast rivet that is square in section and terminates in old breaks just below the plate. It measures 36.03mm in diameter, 2.67mm in thickness and 12.4g in weight. This is a decorative belt or strap mount of Post-Medieval date, c.16th-17th centuries AD.
There are many very similar mounts on the PAS, notably similar are - SF-B864C3 , NMS-D456C3, SWYOR-ABD207, IOW-99CB66, and NMS-331FD2.
