Complete copper-alloy circular trade weight of post-medieval date (c. 1500 - 1800 AD). The weight is circular in plan and rectangular in section. The outer edge on both sides is slightly stepped, resulting in the appearance of two concentric circles. There is a design stamped in the centre of one side, probably a crown; this is a common design on weights of this sort (see for instance, LVPL-3B9722). The surface of the object is worn and slightly corroded and the stamp is not easily visible. The object is 19.90mm in diameter, 3.95mm in thickness and weighs 8.4g.
